My favorite place - Sample answer

Although I have a number of places that I like, and I generally prefer places that have natural environment, there is a place that is my favorite place in Santiago.
This place is the library at the North American Institute, which is located downtown, at Moneda 1467.

Why do I prefer this place? Well, there are a number of reasons. First it has many books written by American and Chilean writers, which are organized in different ways. Fiction books are organized alphabetically according to the last name of the writer, and non-fiction books are organized by topics such as reading, writing, business, education, etc. Besides, you can consult the electronic catalogue, which will tell you if the book you are looking for is in the library collection. Also you can borrow CDs with famous films.
Another important reason is the atmosphere you find in that library which makes it different from other libraries. When you enter the reading room there is a place where they collect your bags, so that you can access all parts of the library freely. This means that you can go the the shelf and look at the books and decide if you want to read them. Besides, the librarians are very friendly and helpful. After you look at the books, you decide if you you want to read them there or if you want to take them home for two weeks.

The first time I went to that library, I felt surprised at all the freedom you have there. I could listen to some cassettes they had there. At that time, CDs were not so popular as they are today. Because this library is an invaluable help to students who want to learn English and culture, I prefer this place to learn about Chilean and American culture and to spend a relaxing time with books. I hope to meet you there one day.
